About This Workshop

Managing money can feel confusing but Prosperity Prep Academy makes it clear, practical, and fun! This interactive four-day workshop is designed to help young adults with autism build confidence in handling money, making smart financial decisions, and planning for the future.

Led by Prosper Academy instructors and financial literacy coaches, this series uses hands-on activities, games, and real-life scenarios to help you understand how money works in everyday life.

What to Expect:

Day 1: Understanding Money & Your Habits Learn the basics of how money works and explore your personal spending habits. Participate in interactive activities to identify needs vs. wants and uncover where your money typically goes. Create your own “Money Personality” profile to better understand your strengths and challenges with money.

Day 2: Budgeting for Real Life Learn how to build a simple, realistic budget that works for your life. Explore fixed, variable, and unexpected expenses through hands-on budgeting games. Practice making choices and balancing spending, saving, and fun using real-world scenarios.

Day 3: Saving, Spending & Smart Decisions Learn how to save money, avoid common financial mistakes, and make smart spending choices. Explore topics like impulse buying, subscriptions, and financial “traps.” Play decision-based games where your choices impact your financial future.

Day 4: The “Real Life Money Challenge” (Final Activity) Put your skills to the test in a full financial simulation where you will:

  • Manage a monthly budget
  • Handle surprise expenses
  • Make spending and saving decisions in real time
  • Work toward a personal financial goal

Celebrate your progress by creating your Prosper Money Plan—a personalized plan for how you’ll manage money moving forward.
