By focusing on topics like career exploration, goal setting, networking, mentorship, and professional growth, this course helps participants develop real-world skills that promote independence and long-term career development.

Participants will:

• Define what a career path is and explore different types of movement within industries, including upward and lateral opportunities

• Identify personal job preferences and align them with long-term career goals through guided reflection and planning activities

• Learn how to build and expand professional networks by understanding degrees of connection and practicing networking strategies

• Explore the value of mentorship, identify a potential mentor, and practice outreach and communication skills

• Create a short-term employment goal that reflects their interests, strengths, and aspirations

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to take intentional steps toward meaningful employment and long-term career fulfillment. They will leave with a personalized career plan, increased self-awareness, and practical strategies for building connections and pursuing opportunities that align with their goals.
