Work: Mapping Your Career Path is designed to help neurodivergent adults gain clarity, direction, and confidence in their career journeys.
By focusing on topics like career exploration, goal setting, networking, mentorship, and professional growth, this course helps participants develop real-world skills that promote independence and long-term career development.
Participants will:
• Define what a career path is and explore different types of movement within industries, including upward and lateral opportunities
• Identify personal job preferences and align them with long-term career goals through guided reflection and planning activities
• Learn how to build and expand professional networks by understanding degrees of connection and practicing networking strategies
• Explore the value of mentorship, identify a potential mentor, and practice outreach and communication skills
• Create a short-term employment goal that reflects their interests, strengths, and aspirations
By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to take intentional steps toward meaningful employment and long-term career fulfillment. They will leave with a personalized career plan, increased self-awareness, and practical strategies for building connections and pursuing opportunities that align with their goals. This course empowers participants to take ownership of their professional journeys with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
