Budgeting Basics is designed to help neurodivergent adults build confidence and independence by learning how to manage money through simple, hands-on budgeting strategies.

By focusing on topics like budgeting principles, expense tracking, saving for goals, and preparing for unexpected costs, this course helps participants develop real-world financial skills that reduce stress and promote long-term financial stability. Through guided instruction, practical examples, and individual support, learners gain the tools to create and maintain a budget that fits their personal goals and lifestyles.

Participants will:

• Learn how to create and manage a personal budget using the envelope system

• Understand the difference between fixed, variable, and irregular expenses

• Develop strategies for tracking and adjusting spending each month

• Practice saving for both short-term and long-term goals using clear, realistic methods

• Plan for emergencies and learn how to adapt their budgets when life changes

• Build consistency and accountability through guided reflection and ongoing support

By the end of the course, participants will feel more prepared to manage their money with clarity, flexibility, and confidence. They will leave with personalized budgeting tools, a practical savings plan, and a deeper understanding of how to stay financially organized and proactive. The final four weeks of the course focus on maintaining progress through structured check-ins, peer discussions, and individualized coaching to reinforce strong financial habits and long-term success.
